The fishing in the Courtmacsherry area the last week has been good with shark, reef, inshore wreck and the estuary all producing some good sport for both visiting and local anglers.  I don’t think that I remember a time that the bay and estuary were so abundant with sprat, Sandeel, small scad with the mackerel shoaling as far as Timoleague abbey.

Courtmacsherry - Sept (1)Fishing in the estuary has been good with young and old alike enjoying the mackerel fishing , live baits for bass has not been producing so good lately probably due to the amount of feed available, but fishing on lures is producing some good fish to 8lbs.
