Ruairi Coleman from Swords Angling Centre reports that there is currently some good sea angling to be had on the East Coast. Lots of mackerel are being caught at Howth and generally fishing along the east coast is still very good despite the fact that there’s a lot of weed on the beaches at times.
Rory has been out fishing a couple of times this week at various marks on the east coast and he and his fishing buddies have had lots of species including smoothies, small tope, small bass, dogs, whiting, flounder and a few nice sized codling.
For up to date angling information and a range of top gear why not drop into Ruairi at his new shop in Swords. He stocks a full range of sea, game, pike and coarse angling tackle and bait. Swords Angling Centre is located in Applewood Village next door to the Orchard Public House.
