Angling guide Eamonn Conway from Dundalk reports that the Annalee River is running low and clear at the moment because of all the fair weather we are having recently. Some of the trout are a wee bit spooky in the low water conditions and presenting the dry fly and nymphs delicately and maintaining a natural drift in the current is crucial for success. There was some nice hatches of olives during the day but no signs of early mayfly on the river just yet. Streamers worked in the pools taking some jack pike as well as some nice trout. Tight lines, Eamonn C
