30 May – 01 June: This three day festival was played out on the ‘Farmyard’ and ‘Graveyard’ shores of Inniscarra Reservoir with a third section on the Coachford Greenway, West Cork Tourism

Inniscarra

The ‘Farmyard’ was the section to be on for this festival producing the best weights and providing shelter from the stormy weather on the last day of the competition. Catches over the three days were all skimmers, hybrids and bream as the roach were all away spawning.

Overall festival results:

  • 1st Ian Shepard, 49.200kg
  • 2nd Peter Mills, 37.500kg
  • 3rd Paul Prichard, 32.150kg
  • 4th Jimmy Crossley, 30.250kg

A super festival supported by anglers from the UK and Ireland with a special return visit from our friend from Italy Mario Molinari. Thank you to Eilleen and O’Callaghans Bar & Guest House for their sponsorship of €500 and hospitality throughout the competition.

Kevin Grey wins the first day of the O’Callaghans Bar & Guest Housesponsored festival. Kevin was fishing for skimmers on the tip for 16.200kg at the Farmyard section.

Day 2 results

A great day for Paul Pritchard on day two of the O’Callaghans Bar & Guest House sponsored festival. A great weight of skimmers on the tip of 24.300kg from the Farmyard section. After two days of the match it is tight at the top and with anglers going to the farmyard tomorrow there could be changes at the top of the table.

Results today 1st Paul Prichard 24.300kg, 2nd Peter Mills 17.200kg, 3rd Jimmy Crossley 25.450 and they also lead the overall results in the same order.

Day 3 results

A big storm with almost gale force winds made the fishing difficult for the 29 anglers on the 3-day festival sponsored by O’Callaghans Bar & Guest House on the Coachford Greenway and Graveyard section today. But the farmyard was sheltered and Ian Shepard had a fantastic weight of 32.300kg to give him a festival win. Well done Ian. 2nd today was Paul Hanen with 20kg and 3rd was Paul McCaul with 11.750kg.
