IADA report that Stage 3 of Lough Muckno Matches and Festivals Winter League was fished on Concra Wood Upper on the 15th of November 2015 as the favoured sections at Black and Yellow Islands had been booked for the very popular and well attended Denis Hughes Memorial Cup Pike match hosted by another local Club, Castleblayney Coarse and Pike Anglers.
Contrary to expectations and with very high water levels, the sections at Concra fished very well and very evenly, with almost a kilogramme being the worst weight of the twenty plus anglers taking part, in typical November weather of gusting winds and squalling rain.
Alan Larkin who is now the man to catch, again winning the day with just short of 5kgs mostly on the pole.
Mid field weights of over 3kgs were netted in all sections with the fish close in, catching some of the diehard long range feeder men out.until some hurried changes late on and some even resorting to hastily set up poles to save the day and in some cases to win the day.
