Members of the Iascaire Feeder Club took a break from the matches to do a bit of pleasure fishing for a change this week, with tench being the chosen species. Tench fishing really picks up in May and there is nothing like watching the surface fizz of feeding tench approaching your bait, as they root in the silt for tasty morsels on a warm, still evening in late spring.
The Iascaire guys chose their venue well, catching some great fish and plenty of them. With the fine weather due this weekend and mild, still evenings forecast, we expect that there will be plenty more tench caught by the start of next week!
