If you live in the Killinarden area and you fancy joining a fishing club @killinarden Angling Initiative was made for you! Currently recruiting new members, boys & girls from 10 years upwards.
Just talking to the mentor’s tells us how much fun the kids get out on the bank and the KAI offers fantastic opportunities for them to travel across Ireland to compete with others. So, Mum’s & Dad’s just pop into the Killinarden Community Centre or contact the club on Facebook.
KAI was set up in March 2014 in Killinarden, Tallaght. Its principle aims are to promote, develop and improve angling in the Killinarden and the greater west Tallaght area. The Initiative has been a catalyst in setting up a children’s and adult fishing club in Killinarden – giving the youths a hobby they can enjoy for life!

During the summer months the main work of Killinarden Angling initiative is taking young people from Killinarden on fishing courses .The Initiative has also been a catalyst in setting up a children’s and Adult fishing club in Killinarden for many of these young people and giving them a hobby they can enjoy for life.
Another vital role of the Initiative is to stock waterways and small lakes in the Killinarden catchment area, thus providing anglers with a greater variety of fishing. We are aware of the need for more angling locations and the initiative will assisted in the creation of new fisheries.
KAI will promote the benefits of angling as a pass time and the need to protect and conserve our aquatic environment. Fishing competitions for juniors and a host of other events feature on the calendar of the KAI, attracting greater interest to the sport year after year.
