Eileen Carroll Murphy IFI reports from the River Bandon for the week ending 26th July 2015:
RIVER BANDON
The river fished well for the latter half of the week. The catches were mainly grilse but some larger salmon also including a 16.5lb fish taken on fly on the Bandon anglers’ water. Fresh Salmon and grilse ran the river on Friday and Saturday before the flood rose on Sunday. Prospects are good for the coming week as the river fines off after the flood.
One angler reported an 11lb salmon caught on the Bandon this week on a homemade salmon fly.
