Peter Cunningham from Drogheda Angling Centre has been in touch to report that a few fish have been taken recently on the River Boyne. Clive Eyres from Drogheda had a nice 10lb fish recently and another angler had two fish over the weekend weighing 10lb and 15lbs. Peter reports that he had two fish as well weighing 9lbs and 14lbs. Fish are being taken on shrimp and fly.

Sea trout fishing has slowed as fish have dispersed throughout the system but there are still sea trout between three quarters of a pound and one pound being taken on fly on the lower stretch of the river. Water conditions in the Boyne are currently low and clear with recent rain having had little effect on levels.

For the latest information on fishing on the lower Boyne area why not give Peter Cunningham a call or drop into him for a chat in the Drogheda Angling Centre, Boyne Shopping Centre, Drogheda.
