Adrian Browne of Oakland Lake Fishery reports:
There was a great turn out for the all nighter last Saturday night. It started off well and then the weather turned nasty for a couple of hours but it didn’t put of anybody. The fishing was steady through the darkness but picked up after dawn. The competition was to catch the most species of fish and heavest fish.
Richard Fitzell from Arklow caught the biggest fish of the night with a 7lb 10oz mirror Carp.
The most species went to John Browne with 9 different species (Carp mirror and common Rudd Roach Rudd/Bream hybrid Perch Eel and skimmer Bream.)
