John Quinlan from Thatch Cottage Ireland reports that his client Ian Herbert’s first ever day lure fishing for bass went pretty well, to say the least. On aturday, 08 august, Ian managed to catch 10 to around bass 4.5lbs.  Later in the day he went on to catch a lovely fish on a surface popper that put a smile on his face…

His total bass catch for 2015 stands at 51. Over the weekend he encountered his first bass in over a month. Fishing with fish son they had a handful of bass and some mackerel and sand smelt.
