John Quinlan from Thatch Cottage Ireland reports that their are lots of reasons to be hopeful for continued good bass fishing in the Waterville area…

Just before the close of the season there was some great bass fishing reported from the Caherciveen, Waterville are in  Kerry. One novice bass angler staying with John had set the bar high for his future fishing adventures by catching a few fish in teh 70cm+ size range. There was a lot of speculation as to whether this kind of fishing would be parr ofr the course after the “bass ban”.

After the first couple of days back in action John is hopeful that its going to be a good season as angling guest Matt Vickerey got off to a good start with the new bass season. John reports that there are good numbers of bass about so far and that it ooks promising for the rest of the season.
