Cashel Trout Fishery report by Marlene Mc Laughlin
Ideal conditions at Cashel this weekend for trying out your favourite fly. Doing just that were brothers Danny and Liam Morrin (Derry). They banked fifteen trout in total using daddies and buzzers. Dungiven’s Andrew Logan released seven trout which took small nymphs while Maurice Whiteman (Ardmore) accompanied by Paul McFadden and Keith Harkin released twelve trout in total which fell to their small dry fly patters. Jim Russell and Danny Walker (Monkstown and Newtownabbey) bagged two each for home and then continued to released another six trout which fell to the peter ross wet fly. Derry’s Paul Ford banked two trout which took a wee suspender.
