The winner of the Fermoy Spring festival on the Blackwater was Geoff Scollick, Bradford with 26lb 4 ozs, Geoff is 80 years of age and it is fantastic to see men of this age still fishing never mind winning angling festivals!!
2nd was Nigel Hirst with 19lb 10ozs, Nick Chaffer Mirfield Willy Worms 18lb 6ozs, 4th Dave Limbert Nottingham 18lb.
The River Blackwater did not change and on the third and final day it still fished hard. Winners of the day were Nigel Hirst Mirfield with 10lb 2ozs, 2nd was Neil Richards Swindon 9lb 12ozs and 3rd was Nick Maynard Swindon with 6lb 4 ozs.
Meanwhile the match fished on the two intermittent days on Inniscarra was won by Nick Chaffer with 30kg 150. 2nd local angler Pawel Swistun 25kg 700, 3rd Neil Richard 20kg 400 and 4th Wayne Swinscoe 18kg 600.
