The annual Lough Gowna Angling Festival took place recently with 75 anglers taking part.

- 4th. Tom Pickering 60.130kg
- 5th. Paul Danby 59.290kg
- 6th. Keith Greensmith 57.570kg
Town Lake Killeshandra is producing good Tench, good bags of Tench and the occasional big Bream is being caught on Dereskit while good sized Skimmers and Bream are being caught at footbridge at Killykeen. A party of anglers staying in the Breffni Arms Arva report good bags of fish on Rockfield and Gulladoo including good Bream, Roach and Hybrids.
