Lurgan Coarse Angling Club report on the Club Angler of the Year – Round 5 at Yellow Island, Muckno:
Fishing proved to be a lot more difficult than of late with two nights of heavy rain and the water temperature dropping quite a bit the fish had backed of the pole line but after an hour some people started to catch quite steady while others caught a few skimmers on the feeder. The weights were very tight in the end with grams separating the top 5 places. Well done to Jacko won the match with 9.040kg!

Top 5 overall
1st. Jacko 9.040kg
2nd Johnny Mckinley 8.850kg
3rd Phil Walton 8.700kg
4th Johnny Keith 7.970kg
5th Jim Mcallister 7.900kg
The final round to take place next month on Newry Canal is shaping up to be a great match with numerous people in contention to frame in the league!
