Wednesday saw Luke head out West again. The day was a bit rough but the fishing good with lots of Pollack, ling and haddock and a mix of other fish.
Friday fished in a strong nw breeze which gave them good shelter to the Loop and there were lots of mackerel all over. Luke says they did poke their heads outside the headland but wind vs tide meant rough seas and no drift. However they came on some very good sized pollack back in the shelter and it finished up a good day.
Saturday saw just about workable conditions but it made for hard fishing as the drift was very fast. A couple of fine lumps of Pollack around though.
The weather at present is making fishing conditions very hard although today Luke just did a short day in the estuary and the best fish was this Bull Huss around 8lbs.
Saturday saw Sean McGuire travel a bit to get decent fishing but then they had some good fishing in the afternoon.
An early start on Sunday let Sean get in some fishing before the weather began to give some trouble.
