Difficult conditions for Killybegs Mariners at Inver

Killybegs Mariners SAC report on their latest league outing which took place on Friday last:

Difficult conditions at the league outing in Inver last Friday night after a deluge of rain the Eany river dumped tonnes of leaves on the beach and baits were masked once they settled on the bottom. On low water a distance cast out past the leaves with big scent baits landed a nice treble shot of 37cm and 31cm and 31cm flounders for Stefan Martin who won both cash prizes on the night most points and also the longest fish 37cm flounder (€80).

An otter appeared at one stage chewing a fish beside the lads at the car park wondering what was going on . No outing next week but on Sunday leg 3 of the Land and Sea Sports league is in Rossnowlagh fishing 2 – 6pm. Well done to all
