News from Courtmacsherry is that the fishing was very good the last week and over the weekend with plenty of good size blues, Specimen whiting, near specimen hake, haddock and stone bass.
But that’s not all, conger to 35lbs, several Ling over 20lbs, Bull Huss to 14lbs, good pollack fishing on light tackle are also being caught with a few cod showing for good measure.
There are thornbacks on the inshore ground with fine dabs and plaice and in the evenings good bass fishing on the estuary.
