Waterford & District Coarse Angling Club have been busy on their managed fishery the Ballyshunnock Reservoir
The lake has been stocked with Rainbow trout and the water is rising to the usual levels. Anglers are asked to please fish with barbless hooks as brown trout and coarse fish must be released unharmed ” The season for rainbows ends on the 31st of December.
Yesterday morning an angler had this 1kilo rainbow caught on an orange blob fished very slowly on the bottom.

Ballyshunnock Reservoir- Kilmeaden: This is a mixed coarse and trout fishery with angling access for individuals with disabilities. Permits are available in the Centra Shop in Kilmeaden.
