The Leinster Shield Competition was fished on Lough Lene Westmeath on Sunday. This popular club competition is fished on a catch and release basis.
On the day the winners were Dublin Trout Anglers club with a total of 14 fish. In 2nd place was Lough Bane Anglers on 7 fish and 3rd place was taken by Wicklow Anglers on 6 fish.
Top rod was Gerry Heaslip, Dublin Trout Anglers, who had a very enviable 9 fish.
