Stefan Martin from Killybegs Mariners SAC reports on the fishing around Donegal Bay…

The sea trout are most definitely on sand eels

A light mizzle glided over the mountains on the far side of the beach and slid down the side and across the beach all day sprinkling a light mist on the white sands of remote Donegal and some lovely fish the seatrout put on acrobatic shows jumping clear of the water sideways and doing full overhead turns as they tried to unhook themselves as they came shallower on the way in through the surf, a quick few photos and they were away back again to carry on with life.

As the tide slackened off the flounders and coley decided now was a good time to pop out and feed some nice flatties moved in to compete in the action, another great day on the shores taking it all in and enjoying every minute
