There was a good turnout and a great day’s fishing for  Menapia members on Sunday afternoon. The venue was Ballyhack and with over 300 fish caught between 18 anglers everyone was kept busy.

The main species caught were Codling, Whiting and Dabs. Winner, and his third in a row, was Joe Carley with a mixed bag of 29 fish. In close second was Howard Wang with 26 fish which consisted of five different species, followed by Paddy Ryan in 3rd place with 21 fish and again a good mixed bag.

The best fish of the day was Rob Denby’s fine plump 38cm whiting.
