Virgin Leitrim waters were used for the very first Kilbracken Club Anglers Challenge last week. Designed with the visiting angler in mind this festival provided five days of match fishing and hospitality in Carrigallen, County Leitrim for anglers from the UK, Netherlands and across Ireland.

Roach, rudd, skimmers and hybrids were the target with 150+ fish needed for a section win, all methods including the waggler were used resulting in an average match weight of over 20lbs per angler per day.

The unique €400 entry included accommodation in local B&B’s with evening meals provided at the Kilbrackan Arms Hotel as well as €150 pools. The full payout plus sponsorship provided for daily sections, daily overall and the top 3.
