On Sunday the 22nd July the Grand Canal Anglers Tullamore hosted the Jim Coyne memorial fishing competition. Conditions were perfect for the event with it being very dull and overcast. Fish were plentiful and tench, bream and roach were caught in good numbers. The fish were taken mainly on maggot over a bed of groundbait.

Top spot went to Padraig Carroll, 2nd Gary Smyth and 3rd Eamonn Bracken. tThe annual plaque was presented to Padraig by Jim’s wife Ann .
