The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland has announced that the All-Ireland Youth Canal Fishing Championship will take place on Sunday, 19 July 2026, at the Edenderry Match Stretch, Toberdaly.
The event is open to young anglers, whether they are new to match fishing or already competing, and offers a chance to fish alongside other young anglers from across Ireland in a welcoming and professionally organised competition.
There will be U12, U15 and U20 categories, with trophies and prizes on offer. Every entrant will also receive a gift.
Entry costs €10. Anglers should meet at 9am, with the draw taking place at 10am. Fishing will run from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
