Nearly made the 30cm – just over 28.5cm

Lough Gowna in County Cavan was the venue of choice for the Dungannon based club chosen for the easy accessibility available for this open competition.  The 28 anglers were met with heavy rain in their aim to find 5 of the largest perch fishing two from a boat. There were 64 perch caught of recordable size with the prize for the largest of the competition going to Virgilijus Valiuska.

The winners

This was a catch and release competition and all the perch that were caught, were measured and returned to the water alive.

Congratulations to all the winners who were met with plenty of sponsored prizes and refreshments after a wet day.
