Munster Coarse Anglers report on their Furn and Feather match fished at O’Brien’s Bridge…
Muster Coarse Anglers held their annual night match this weekend. Going back over two decades this 12 hour match is always held on one of the Clare lakes and with the kind permission of Tulla Coarse Angling club we fished Lough Briget’s – Swan Island. Meeting for the draw was at 6pm with hopes of nets full of large Tench and massive Bream by 9am next morning.
We arranged ourselves along the peninsula. Sadly only one tench and a couple of decent size bream decided to make their presence felt. However this did not mean we were short of bites. Hybrids, roach, skimmers and millions of small Rudd vied for any maggot that was placed on a hook.
