CM Lakelands report on their recent open match and their Winter League…

Open Match 03 November

CM Lakelands held an open match today (03 November) on Lough Muckno on Black and Yellow Island. There were 23 anglers fishing and conditions were hard due to rising high water.

First was Darren Fairhurst with 4.490kg, 2nd was Neil Mazurick with 3.220kg, 3rd was Alan Larkin with 3.109kg and 4th was Paul Leese with 2.880kg.

Section winners Rory Dunne on Yellow Island and Brenton Sweeney on Black Island.

Winter League, Round 1

We had 34 anglers fish the 1st round of the 2019/2020 Feeder Winter League on Lough Muckno today, 17 November. Fishing was patchy with very few bigger fish been caught.

1st was the very impressive Rory Dunne with another big win on Lough Muckno , he had 3.210kg. 2nd was Neil Mazurick with 2.760kg. 3rd was Mariuz Kilan with 2.560kg.

4th was Alan Larkin with 2.520kg and 5th was Jacek Januszewski with 2.160kg.

Section winners were Darren Fairhurst, Mark Leonard, Robertas Zilaitis and Irmantas Scriupsa.

2nd round December 1st, meet at Old Coach Pub for 8.30am

FOOTNOTE: The club was disappointed that 3 anglers never turned up for the league today, whose names were down to fish.
The club understands that there are genuine reasons why an angler couldn’t attend, however on this occasion there wasn’t even a message, phonecall etc.
