Donal Kennedy reports
A party of anglers from Co Sligo set out from Killala Harbour for a day’s fishing. Weather was fine, an overcast sky paired with light southerly winds. On their first drift for mackerel none were caught so the skipper Donal Kennedy decided to move out to deeper waters and the anglers were not disappointed. On a drift over rocky ground, mackerel, pollack, coalfish and ling were caught. After a number of drifts where some fine pollack were caught it was time to return to Harbour .
The day passed very quick. All returned safely well pleased with their days fishing.
