Richard Caplice reports that the roach are on the way as bream show in some numbers on Lough Muckno in the Irish Feeder-masters qualifier…

16 June: Our Irish Feeder-masters qualifier event on Lough Muckno today saw the capped limit of 50 anglers surpassed but for this qualifier all entries are accepted.
Five sections, with the winner of each going through to the final were in use and with a quality field competition was fierce and extremely tight on each of the sections.
Mariusz Killian prevailed following a tough struggle on next peg with home favorite Darren Fairhurst. With Darren bringing Almost 15 kg to the net he had to feel confident only to be outdone by the rampant Mariusz who finished with a fine Weight of just under 19 kgs of prime Bream from Black Island 156.
All sections fished well despite the influx of much bigger Roach happening slowly due to fresh and high water slowing their return, which is expected to peak this week.
Bream and large hybrids of a beautiful condition showed on all sections, so all augers well for our feeder festival starting tomorrow.
Please now all anglers note that the next feeder masters qualifier is capped at 50 anglers and is set for 20th July 2019.
Please book on early to avoid dissapointment.
