Declan Gibbons reports that angling pressure has lessened a bit due to the weather conditions and a tapering off in mayfly hatches. Caenis fishing produced the best of what was caught during the week gone by.

Larry McCarthy of Corrib View Lodge http://www.corribangling.com reports a mixed week of angling on Lough Corrib with air and water temperatures still low for June and as a result Caenis hatches are very localised. Malcolm Patrick from England enjoyed some good Caenis fishing on Monday with 8 fish in the Annaghkeen area with fish between 1.5lbs and 2.5lbs. Patrick Dooley organised a party of 5 visiting UK anglers for 4 days and had mixed results – Inchagoill produced some good dry fly action with plenty of small trout boated. Joe Trill while guiding one of the group had the best fish of the week himself with a fish over 5lbs on a wet mayfly. Shane Cramer had a good morning Caenis fishing guided by Larry on Sunday, boating 6 good trout to almost 3lbs (all returned).
