Lurgan anglers find Muckno tricky as roach not biting

Lurgan Coarse Angling Club report on their latest competition this year, fished on Lough Muckno…

02 August: Today should of been the fourth round of the Club Angler of the Year. With the league not taking place this year we decided to use the remaining dates for knock ups. We were fishing the high pegs on Concra Wood Muckno. Fishing proved to be very tricky as the roach are still not back in numbers. Most of the fish caught were perch hybrids and the odd bonus skimmer on the feeder with some anglers also getting a few on the pole late on.
