Ireland’s Feeder King came to a successful conclusion last weekend after a two-day finale for the anglers who came through from the eight rounds of qualifiers during the summer, and it was in form Robertas Zilaitis who took the crown with just over 26kg overall.
Day one had been closely contested, with Zilaitis’ 13.10 kg from the Deeps section edging him in front of Brenton Sweeney (12.00kg), Mark Leonard (11.88kg) and a handful of other anglers, including Youth World Champ Charlie Richards, who broke the 10.00kg mark.
With an identical weight on day two, made of all small fish, Robertas weighed in at just over 26kg for the final to give him the prestigious Title.
Second was Charlie Richards, who put in an awesome performance on the sillan deeps with a weight of 15.780 kg of mostly skimmers to give him an overall total of just over 25kg. Placing in 3rd was Mark Leonard with just under 25kg over the 2 days.

The CM Lakelands Feeder Club would like to thank all that helped with the weigh ins, qualifiers, pegging and results. This was the first year of Irelands Feeder King and judging by what we have heard from the anglers and the ticket sales, it has been a huge success.
Irelands Feeder King 2023 qualifiers will be announced next January.
