West Cork Fisher ,Jeremy Smith, who usually targets bass along the Cork coast sent in a report of a surprise mullet…
Jeremy was fishing for sea bass on the west side of Inchydoney Beach. But instead of the expected bass a 4 lbs. mullet took the razorfish bait offered on a 4.0 hook. After a while, however, Jeremy had to move marks as the beach got a little too busy with surfers. He moved to his “home mark” near Dunworley where he met up with his fishing friend Steve but unfortunately there was no show of bass either. In the meantime, Jeremy managed to land a few schoolies using lug worm on running ledger but is also looking forward to target the more elusive gilthead bream which is another favorite species of his. Jeremy had gitlheads up to 6.5 lbs. from the local marks in the past…
