Fifteen of the best feeder anglers in the land qualified for the Feedermasters Final, which was held on Lough Muckno on Sunday, September 10th. Six qualifiers had been held over the past eight weeks at various venues to sort out the wheat from the chaff. On the final day, it was on form Darren Fairhurst who took the big win and eclipsed a formidable field of feeder anglers.
Darren had11.5kgs off peg 196 to win by a full 1.5 kgs and scoop the significant prize fund and more importantly the Irish Feedermasters title. In second spot was Rimantas Kondrakas, who just held off the very competitive Stephen Whyte.
