Two brothers from The Netherlands, Henk and Wim Theulings, have been having a fine time of it with the tope in Wicklow Bay recently. The Dutch duo are regular visitors to Kit Dunne of Wicklow Boat Charters, and they timed this year’s visit to perfection to take advantage of some great tope fishing, including a specimen for Wim. They were left with sore arms at the end of their week’s fishing and I’m sure they’ll be back for more next year.
Kit says that there have been plenty of tope around since the start of May and smooth hounds, huss and ray have also featured regularly for anglers fishing with him.
