Successful sea trout competition on the Moy Estuary

Judd Ruane of Fishing Ireland reports that seventy-five rods fished The Moy Estuary boat and sea trout club competition last Sunday June 23rd in excellent conditions. Sixty-four fine sea trout were weighed in with a 3 fish bag limit.

Heaviest bag went to Trevor Morrow with 4.9 lbs. In second place with 4.75 lbs was Sean Lavelle and Michael Cuffe in third with 3.9lbs.

Men’s heaviest fish went to Tom Durkan for 2.6 lbs.

Ladies heaviest fish went to Sharon Troy for 1.25 lbs and the juniors prize went to Colm McLoughlin for 1.35lbs.

The heaviest fish for a visiting competitor was 1.75 lbs and went to Brian Fay.

Best fish for the week on Pegasus was 3.04 lbs.
