Winter and spring are often times that charter skippers are busy with surveys, stripping and painting, servicing and refitting. And so May is when a lot of them return to the high seas of Ireland. Down in Kerry, Deep Sea Dingle’s boat Molly O was launched last week and reporting good fishing for pollack and a few mackerel to boot.
Across the bay in Caherciveen, Kerry Sea Angling Charters, who fish from the Fuego are reporting hot enough fishing for mackerel, pollack, ling, cuckoo wrasse, flat fish, whiting, pouting, coalie and some haddock even.
