After a horrendous few weeks of windy weather, small craft warnings and big swells, John Fleming finally got out to some decent deep water over the last week.

Back out!
Trips out to the deeper reefs produced some fine fishing, with plenty of nice pollack, a few fine ling, nice red gurnards, a couple of grey gurnards, a surprise dab and a handy few mackerel as well.
Nice ling
Decent pollack

The first quid also showed, which will keep deck boss Sandy happy! Sandy also celebrated his birthday aboard with a cake from the skipper. Happy birthday Sandy!

Nice squid
Birthday boy

Ground fishing also produced a few nice hiss, while a short family trip for Frederick and his family produced plenty of mackerel, and happy faces.
