The CM Lakelands Feeder Club have organised an exciting new league for 2026 – the Ultimate Feeder League – which will be fished over three rounds in February and March at venues in Leitrim and Monaghan. There are thirteen teams signed up already – so unfortunately the places are all booked already! There is a reserve list though, so anybody interested in participating should contact the CM Lakelands club through their Facebook Page. Anyone interested in match fishing could do worse than dropping by to see how it’s done, as there will be some top anglers competing.

In other news, the CM club held their last match of 2025 on Houghtons Shore, Lough Garadice, last weekend. There were very strong crosswinds on the day, causing a strong tow and that made the fishing difficult to manage.
Kevin Norcliffe won the match with one big skimmer and twenty-plus roach to weigh just under 3kg. Kevin caught at forty metres plus.
2nd overall was Irish feeder boss Brenton Sweeney, who caught twenty fish to weigh just under 2kg. Brenton caught all his fish at 55 metres.
3rd over was Irmantas Sriupsa who caught 1.850kg of roach and one skimmer.
Andy Butterfield was 4th overall with 1.750kg of 2 small skimmers and an odd roach.
