The Leinster Coarse Fishing Federation fished the 8th leg of their Leinster Open at the Millennium Bridge section of the canal at Daingan last weekend. Unfortunately, a bitter north wind made fishing extremely tough, and the only consolation was that the wind was at their backs, with a hedgeline providing some level of shelter from the biting gusts.
All in all, it wasn’t a day to remember, with a few small roach featuring and an odd small tench popping up. Ah well, there’s always next time…
