Results of Brown Tag Draw for the Roughty River

1707

On Wednesday 26 February, a draw took place to allocate 19 Brown Tags for the taking of salmon on the Roughty River. The requirement to hold a brown tag is set out in Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme (Amendment) Regulations, signed into law by the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan, T.D.

A total of 86 valid entries were received from salmon rod licence holders. Each was assigned a number in advance of the draw.

Twenty-four (24) numbers were randomly generated. The first 19 successful entrants will be issued a brown tag no later than Friday 28 February. The final 5 numbers are reserved in case an angler declines or returns the tag allocated to them.
