Weather was absolutely unbelievable on Saturday reports John Fleming of Blue Shark Angling. John and his crew changed things up, with James and his son Matt looking to chase some tope.
Mackerel were not easy found on the morning so they headed straight for a bank and anchored up. They weren’t waiting too long before we had a nice huss, and shortly after they were into the tope.
They had roughly 10 tope or possibly a few more as skipper John lost count in all the excitement.
With the mission accomplished it was decided to make a move to a Reef and anchored up to see what might be about. Unfortunately no huss or spurs were caught but they had some nice pollock and ling. Sounds like a lovely day on the sea and good fishing. What more would ya want!
Go fishing…
John tells us he has the full boat available this Saturday coming the 23rd of August due to a cancellation – General fishing/tope/spurs.
