Thomas Jacob, a Brittany native now residing in Ireland, finally got to use the AAWC voucher his wife thoughtfully gifted him last year. We lucked out with beautiful West Cork sunshine and crystal-clear waters, though the wind proved to be quite unpredictable! The coastal breezes, which truly govern all our movements on the water, began as gentle and offshore, constantly shifted 90 degrees, and ultimately became onshore – right at the limit of what’s feasible for a guided trip.
Nevertheless, we still found plenty of exciting fishy action across all the spots we could reach! Also worth noting that we didn’t loose a single lure to the kelp or rocks deep below us and all fishes were strong releases.
