It was an early start in the hunt for a west coast bass, and as the sun rose above Mount Callan and bathed the shoreline in Quilty in West Clare in its light, this beautiful 63 cm bass took a Savage Gear Gravity Stick with sand eel colouring. These types of paddle-tail lures can be super effective when other lures fail, and after an impressive battle and a quick photo, this fine bass was returned to fight another day…
