This week marks the first anniversary of when Welsh angler and photographer Ceri Jones made trout fishing history, catching the largest ferox trout to have been caught in Ireland in 118 years, weighing in at 23lb 12oz.

The fish in question is also known to be the largest recorded trout caught on the Corrib.

To commemorate his achievement, Mr Jones is offering a free day of ferox trout fishing with him on Lough Corrib to help him catch the new Corrib record. Also included in the prize is free accommodation on the night at Burke’s Bar in Clonbur, where the magnificent fish is on permanent display and which is Ceri’s favourite spot when he is not out on the lake.

To enter the competition simply visit Ceri’s website www.thecorrib.com, and ‘like’ his Facebook page…..
