Stefan Martin from Killybegs Mariners SAC reports on the fishing around Donegal Bay…
16 December: A celestial exhibition was on show last night as the shooting stars streaked across the bay overhead during the league outing. First casts caught some double shots of flounder to 37cm and coley to 46cm but as the waves died off on the ebb the crabs came on the feed enjoying the baits but still some nice dabs to 31cm and coley over the 30s along with a few flounders kept things going on a grand night out.
Competition results
Winner of most points on the night – well done to James McGettigan 1st and 2nd place prize was won by Jason Ward and longest fish prize was won by Johnny Byrne with a 46cm coley. Well done to all who took part.
