This small to medium sized lake covers an area of approximately 30 hectares. Hollybank Lake (Lower Lough) is located northwest of Arvagh off the R203 heading towards Carrigallen. This lake contains good stocks of small to medium sized pike and is also noted for its catches of roach and bream. Most of the northeast shore is fishable from the bank but the remaining shores are reed fringed and a boat is required to fish these successfully. There are no boat launching facilities at this venue and anglers wishing to fish from a boat should make enquiries locally to secure the necessary permission to launch their boat.
