The first leg of the Grauvell West Coast Shore league 2013 will take place on Renvyle beach, Co. Galway on Saturday the 9th February.
Check in will be at the venue from 3:30-4:30 and fishing will be from 5-9pm. Galway Bay SAC are host club and entry into the competition on the day is €15.
This is the fourth year of the league which has grown year on year since its small beginnings and is a fine tribute to our friend Ray Toner who did so much work for shore angling in Connacht, particularly with the Junior teams.
Entry into the league is €25 and the pools is €10 (Largest flat, round and highest species count over all legs). Entry for juniors is free.
There is over €1500 worth of rods from Grauvell and €750 in cash prizes. Irish Anglers Digest and Irish Angler magazines are providing yearly subscriptions as prizes. Juniors will be provided with tackle prizes from a Shore Thing in Westport.
Anyone wanting to enter the league or fish the competition must let me know by Friday the 8th.
